Real Estate, Red Cross serve Nevada together

I’ve called Las Vegas home since 2001. As a real estate agent who has had the joy of overturning keys to families for their first home or their forever home, I know the things people think about beyond the “four walls” of the structure itself. They look for access to amenities, restaurants, parks, libraries, good schools — they look for a sense of community. But not all communities are created equal, nor are all Nevadans afforded the same opportunities.
In a city like Las Vegas, one that is constantly reinventing itself and growing more diverse, our true strength and togetherness often shine brightest during times of hardship. Whether it’s responding to natural disasters, unexpected tragedies or moments of personal loss, it is the kindness, compassion and generosity of this community that make a real difference.
The American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter plays an essential role in these moments of crisis and beyond, serving as a beacon of hope for our neighbors in need. Covering the greater Las Vegas area, as well as greater Clark, Lincoln, Nye and Esmeralda counties, the Red Cross is there when it matters most. From providing shelter during disasters to delivering critical blood supplies to patients in need, educating families on emergency preparedness, and supporting military families during challenging times — the impact is profound. In Nevada alone, over 3 million people are served each year, touching lives with compassion and care.
I have seen how the Red Cross stands up for our community. When fires destroy homes, volunteers are there with blankets, food and comfort. When hospitals face urgent blood shortages, the Red Cross is there to ensure patients receive lifesaving donations. And when families need a plan to stay safe, the Red Cross provides education and tools to prepare for the unexpected.
Since 2022, I have had the honor of serving on the board of directors for the Southern Nevada chapter. This role has deepened my appreciation for the volunteers, donors and supporters who power this incredible mission.
But the work is far from over. I am proud to stand alongside fellow Realtors, not only as industry professionals but as community members dedicated to giving back. We have been blessed with so many opportunities, memories and connections in this great city — connections that shape not just our homes, but the very fabric of our lives within the communities we hold dear.
Las Vegas is a city built on lights, energy and resilience. It is a place I am proud to call home and a place I am honored to help others find their homes. I am equally proud to partner with the American Red Cross in its mission to serve, uplift and strengthen our community — one person, one family and one moment at a time. As Realtors, we know the true value of community, and we are committed to giving back in meaningful ways that make a lasting difference.
